The Copywriter and Content Creator position is responsible for the creation of all content marketing initiatives across multiple platforms and formats. The Copywriter and Content Creator recognizes the importance of increased website traffic, driving engagement, increasing qualified lead generation, customer retention, and other positive client-related outcomes. The Copywriter and Content Creator must be a passionate brand storyteller with a journalist’s mindset, and a fascination for content performance, reporting, and analytics. The Copywriter and Content Creator displays a heart of a teacher with a love for learning, writing, and communication in all forms.
Interview internal subject matter experts for content.
Publish three or more new pieces of content per week; text (blog articles), video, or audio (podcasts).
Edit and optimize two or more existing content pieces per week; text (blog articles)
Track all analytics and reporting for content marketing efforts.
Implement Search Engine Optimization (SEO) efforts for website and content.
Maintain current knowledge of trends and developments in digital marketing and pursues professional development and continued education in relevant areas.
Contribute to the creation, improvement, implementation, documentation, and performance of the processes and procedures of The Strouse Corporation Quality Management System.
Embody Strouse’s values, through respect, and continual focus on process improvement and customer delivery excellence.
Communications and Media — Knowledge of media production, communication, and dissemination techniques and methods. This includes alternative ways to inform and entertain via written, oral, and visual media.
Understanding of common editorial style guides, e.g., AP Style, Chicago Manual of Style, etc.
Great at telling a story using words, images, or audio, and an understanding of how to create content that draws an audience
The ability to think like an educator, intuitively understanding what the audience needs to know and how they want to consume it.
Clear articulation of the business goal behind the creation of a piece (or series) of content.
Project management skills to manage editorial schedules and deadlines within corporate and ongoing campaigns.
Incredible people skills.
Possess a strong work ethic and team player mentality.
Teamwork and effective communication.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Public Relations or related communications field.
Excellent writing and editorial skills, with an outstanding command of the English language.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
Proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex technical topics
Some manufacturing and/or adhesive experience would be beneficial
Training as a print journalist
