Reflecting on 2018 and Looking Forward

Posted by Sue Chambers Dec 31, 2018 7:50:00 AM

This year has been a monumental year for Strouse. In our 32nd year of operation, we’ve achieved both short and long-term goals aimed at helping our customers, partners, and fellow manufacturers across the globe solve problems they once thought were unsolvable. Our mission has always been simple, to provide unsurpassed design and manufacture of innovative, engineered adhesive solutions for sophisticated, design-focused customers globally.

As we reflect on a year that has meant so much for our organization, we have a lot to be thankful for, and even more to be excited about in the future.

Earlier this year Strouse achieved registration to ISO 13485:2003, serving as a framework for regulatory requirements through every step of a products life cycle. This registration enables us to better support our organic growth in the healthcare and medical market from design through manufacturing of components and medical device products.

We moved into our new state-of-the-art 65,000 square-foot manufacturing facility and new headquarters. This significant milestone has helped us better streamline our manufacturing processes and is designed to be expandable to 85,000 square feet to support our growth strategy. We celebrated the grand opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony attended by Lt. Governor of Maryland Boyd Rutherford and other local government leaders.

Strouse was also recognized by 3M CEO Mike Roman with the 3M Supplier of the Year award. This honor is awarded to sixteen companies each year from a global supply chain pool of thousands of companies that 3M works with. We are proud to have formed such a strong partnership with 3M as they continue to deliver innovative products to improve our everyday lives.

Most recently, Strouse was recognized as a Champion of Maryland Manufacturing for Growth and Productivity at Regional Manufacturing Institute’s Gala.

Each of these milestones is a testament to our people and process as we constantly strive to be a leader in providing custom adhesive solutions, never being complacent or satisfied with maintaining the status quo. What we’ve been able to achieve this year serves as a building block to our future and yours as we drive forward and enable fellow manufacturers to solve problems they once thought were unsolvable with innovative adhesive solutions.
