Become a Production Assistant 

About the Position

The Production Assistant is a position in the Production Unit of the company. This position assists in packaging, inventory control, and quality control. This position is detail oriented and reports to the Production Supervisor.

Responsibilities Include: 

  • Perform appropriate packaging and shipping methods for products and customers.
  • Create labels and implement label changes utilizing the Easy Label programs on the Tharo printers.
  • Assist Set-up Supply Clerk as needed.
  • Operate non-press equipment per work order, work instruction, job ticket, and ISO procedures.
  • Utilize quality control procedures using quality checks as defined by the Production Manager.
  • Assist Shipping and Receiving with distributing / stocking materials as needed.
  • Maintain plant cleanliness and efficiency; cleaning, emptying trash, recyclables, etc.
  • Perform stock inventories as required.
  • Maintain samples and retains as required.
  • Work in a team environment and be willing to shift priorities based on the production demands.
  • Maintain a strong attendance record.
  • Perform other related duties to contribute to the success of the operation as assigned by team lead or manager.

Minimum Entry Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Basic to intermediate computer skills. 
  • Effective communication skills.

 While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects that weigh up to 50 pounds, frequently lift, and/or move objects that weigh 20 to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
