Become an Engineering Intern

About the Internship

The Engineering Intern is a contributing position in this company due to the complexity of custom products and the skill to develop consistent work instructions to produce them. The Engineering Intern works to capture and record the details to produce products as well as the successes and failures of the run.

Essential Functions:

  • Assist the Strouse Engineering team in creating and controlling drawings.
  • Assist the Strouse Engineering team in making prototype samples.
  • Assist the Strouse Engineering team in capturing production successes and failures and   determining a path forward for future runs.
  • Participate in Design Reviews on new products.
  • Communicate concisely and professionally.

  • General Engineering and Technology — Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.  The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.  This position requires the ability to occasionally lift products and supplies, up to 25 pounds.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Current Engineering Student
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Computer Proficiency: Microsoft Office Products

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Rising Senior Student Status- Nearing Graduation
  • AutoCAD Experience
  • Ambitious
  • Self-Motivated
  • Passion for learning/problem solving
