3M™ Masking Tapes

Part # 2090, Scotch-Blue™ Painters Masking Tape for Multi-Surfaces.-This tape removes cleanly without adhesive transfer or surface damage for up to 14 days, even in direct sunlight. It is a medium adhesion tape that is ideal for painted walls and trim, woodwork, glass and metal.Part # 213, Scotch® Masking Tape-High-Temperature Masking Tape 213 is a very high-temperature resistant tape for use in masking and holding applications. This tape is generally the most transfer-resistant adhesive of all the 3M paper tapes, as the firm adhesive does not anchor itself as softer adhesives often do.  Specially treated crepe paper backing that is sliver resistant, conformable, easy tear, solvent and moisture reisitant. Special backsize treatment to controlled unwind for easy use. Designed for indoor use only as it should not be subjected to outdoor exposure. Ideal for use on aluminum anodized surfaces.  Typical physical and performance characteristics include: thickness: 6.5 mils, adhesion to steel: 41 oz../in. width, tensile strength: 30 lbs./in. width, elongation at break: 9%, temperature use range: Up to 350°F. Tan.

Part # 2308, Scotch® Masking Tape-Natural colored, 5.5 mil (0.14 mm) crepe paper tape with rubber adhesive. A medium temperature masking tape.Used for holding, bundling, sealing, general paint masking and a vast number of other jobs where a pressure sensitive tape is needed.

Part # 234-Scotch®-General Purpose is designed for medium temperature bake operations and non-critiacal paint masking.

Part # 2364, Scotch® Performance Masking Tape-New proprietary 3M technology gives this strong, smooth crepe paper masking tape good holding power in a broad range of temperatures up to 300 degrees F. Clean removal from many surfaces make this an excellent tape for many industrial applications.  Good holding power in a broad range of temperature applications. Easy tearing and sliver resistance. Adhesion to Steel: 36 0z/in. width. Tensile: 30 lbs./ in. Tape thickness: 6.5 mils Temperature use range: Clean removal at up to 300F(148C) for 30 minutes.

Part # 2380, Scotch® Performance Masking Tape-Designed for industrial paint masking applications. Provides excellent holding power and paint flake resistance. Can be removed hot, warm or cold from most surfaces without adhesive transfer.  Features high holding power with clean removal at bake temperatures up to 325F(163C) for 30 minutes. Excellent paint flake resistance. Can be removed hot, warm or cold from most surfaces without adhesive transfer. Adhesion to Steel: 43 oz/in width. Tensile: 27lbs./in. Tape thickness: 7.5 mils.

Part # 2393, Scotch® Premium High Performance Masking Tape-Natural colored, 7.1 mil (0.18 mm) mini-crepe paper tape with rubber adhesive. A smooth, heavy duty, mini-crepe high temperature masking tape.  Offers excellent paint mask performance with high solids paints and clean coats used in the transportation industy.

Part # 2396, Scotch® Premium High Performance Masking Tape- High temperature Automotive OEM masking tape.  Designed for  applications requiring aggressive holding capability. Tan in color with a smooth mini-crepe paper backing and rubber adhesive. Tape can be removed hot or cold from mst surfaces without adhesive transfer.

Part # 2480S-Scotch 60-Day Ultimate Paint Edge Masking Tape 2480S - 2480S is a flatback tape featuring a unique hybrid adhesive technology. 2480S is perfect for producing razor sharp long straight lines. It resists UV/sunlight for 60 days and removes cleanly from surfaces. Resists bleed through, even from solvent - based tapes. The thin backing is strong enough to pull through paint and caulk without tearing. Distinctive Green color allows for easy identification and eliminates taping errors. Used in array of industrial and construction applications for painting, masking, identification, and holding. A water-based adhesive it is ideal for customers seeking out environmentally preferable solutions. Adhesion to steel: 13oz./in.width. Tensile: 18lbs/in. Tape thickness: 4.0 mils. Temp range: 200F for 30 minutes; removes cleanly. Color: Sea Green.

Part # 2497ST-Scotch® A high temperature, tear resistance polyester tape, designed for sliver resistance and high temperature applications. Use where a sliver resistant application is needed, multiple paint/drying cycles, heavy equipment painting or powder coat painting.

Part # 2515-Scotch®-Used for splicing , bundling and other packaging applications.  Lower unwind tension and hand tearable, is resistant to moist conditions.

Part # 2693-Scotch® High Performance Masking Tape 2693 is a smooth, heavy duty, mini-crepe paper masking tape suitable for most paint masking applications. Designed for automotive, truck and bus applications where very aggressive room temerpature and high temperature holding is required.  2693 offers excellent paint masking performance with high solid paints and urethane clear coats used in the transportation industry. Holding power resists the most stringent applications and bake cycles. Can be removed warm or cold from most surfaces without adhesive transfer. Clean removal can vary dependent on surface type, processing conditions and type of paint involved. Excellent conformability and paint flake resistance. Smoothness of the backing makes this tape very user friendly. Balanced construction with a stronger backing gives this tape easy removal properties without slivering. Provides good resistance to adhesive transfer on automotive type rubber moldings when removed at room temperatures. Should not be subjected to outdoor exposure. Typical physical and performance characteristics include: thickness: 8.5 mils, adhesion to steel: 46 oz./in. width, tensile strength: 26 lbs./in. width, elongation at break: 10%, temperature use range: Up to 325°F.
