3M Fine Line Tapes match very well with 2 stage paint finishes that are often used when masking aircraft, automobiles, boats and manufactured parts. The low profile of the Fine Line family creates a sharp color separation with a flawless paint line. 4737T will tolerate high temperatures, has the thinnest backer in vinyl and can turn a tignt curve without buckling. 231 has a crepe backer, is resistant to tearing upon removal and is designed to be used on paint baking cycles up to 300°. 215 has a plastic film backer, is conformable to uneven surfaces and will tolerate medium temperatures. All of these tapes offer high initial bond, good solvent resistance and contain low cost rubber resin adhesive.
