Strouse has saved appliance and automotive manufacturers rework expense by producing masking to protect their components from being marred during assembly and transport. Any nicks or dings compromise value and add rework time to your bottom line. We create custom made masking die cuts to fit unusual shapes, such as contoured control panels and door handles. Openings for knob attachment and perforations can be included at critical corner points. This also assists with ease of mask removal after assembly. This material comes in clear and transparent blue, but can also be produced in other colors and opacities, along with a variety of adhesives. The low tack adhesive will not harm printed graphics and leaves no residue upon removal.
Customer requests have included exterior paint masks, wheel masks, contoured shifter masks and control panal facia masks. The Strouse Engineering team has worked directly with customers and suppliers to create tabbed, color coded masks, which can be packaged as a kit and easily applied by the end user. One client has requested a masking combination for autobody painting. Strouse paired 2380 masking tape and low edge profile 4737T Fineline tape on opposite edges of 7300 High Temp masking film. Combining the products allowed the customer to eliminate a step in the masking process and increase efficiency. This product group is offered in sizes from 6" to 30". One of the leading molded plastic manufacturers for the appliance industry has been pleased with Strouse's masking for the control displays it makes for General Electric. Precisely placed perforations allowed the installation of control knobs during production. Strouse has also printed a linear registration on 4737T to enable a quicker, more consistant masking of a vehicle part. It's a matter of creating a solution to assist our client's need to lower production costs.
