Strouse's Slitting Division handles the task of reducing jumbo rolls into packagable rolls for our customers, utilizing our Cevenini and Dusenbury converting equipment. The expertise of our slitter operation, with respect to cutting speed and blade angle, is a craft.
Converting tapes, films, foils and fabrics present challenges specific to each substrate. As a 3M Master Masking Converter, Strouse has experience in handling a variety of materials. The finished products can be wound on plastic or cardboard cores (with your logo, our logo or no logo).
Clients with materials that require special treatment will feel comfortable knowing that Strouse will analyze its properties and offer options to precisely and cleanly slit the substrate into rolls as narrow as 1/16".
The slitting operation is capable of maintaining consistent widths beginning at: .05” Rotary .031” Lathe .5” Score Knife .125” Razor .625” Shear Tolerances maintained during slitting begin at ±.003 (this is dependent on material properties).
