Automotive Masking Tapes:
Strouse is proud to supply the world leading automotive manufacturer’s with a variety of masking products for particular and precise applications. One client requested a masking combination for auto-body painting. We’ve paired masking tape and low-edge profile fine line tape on opposite edges of a high temp masking film. Combining the products allowed the customer to eliminate a step in the masking process and increase efficency. This product group is offered in sizes from 6” to 30”. Strouse has also printed a linear registration on various tapes to enable a quicker, more consistent masking of a vehicle part; whatever our clients need to lower production costs.
3M™ Masking Tapes
The Strouse Corporation is certified as a 3M Master Converter to slit custom sizes of tape. Strouse offers competitive pricing on a variety
of 3M Fine Line Tapes. These tapes match up very well with 2 stage paint finishes that are often used when masking aircraft, automobiles, boats and manufactured parts. The low profile of the Fine Line family creates a ‘sharp color separation with a flawless paint line’. 4730 Series Fine Line Tapes will tolerate high temperatures, has the thinnest backer in vinyl and can turn a tight curve with out buckling. 231 has a crepe backer, is resistant to tearing upon removal and is designed to be used in paint baking cycles up to 300 degrees for 30 minutes. 215 has a plastic film backer, is conformable to uneven surfaces and will tolerate medium temperatures. All of these tapes offer high intial bond, good solvent resistance and contain low cost rubber
resin adhesive.
